Some people say that it can take up to 18 days to 250 days to develop a new habit and an average of 66 days for a new behavior to become automatic. It all depends on the person and how badly they want to improve themself.
Some people create the habit of waking up at 5:00 AM, eating healthy, going to the gym, or just the habit of reading some pages of a book before going to bed. Other people are scared of routines like those, and they think their life will become boring if they engage in those activities or simply say they do not have enough time.
Which one are you?
Creating habits are essential tools to become successful; it helps you organize your time and energy from my point of view. The most valuable thing that we have in life is time, and what you do with it is what you are going to become in the future. It doesn’t matter if you have the perfect business plan or already know who you want to become. Action is required, activities that create healthy habits and create visible results.
Going around doing one thing here and one thing there without the proper behavior of consistency will bring you results. However, those results will not be permanent, and at any point, you will lose it all.
Habits are not rules made to control you; you own the habits. It will be time to not be motivated or where you will feel down. Still, if you have been practicing healthy behavior for more than 66 days, or whatever time you believe is essential to create a habit, there is a high probability that you will not lose it all. Your habits will keep you on track, those automatic behaviors will guide your body, mind, and spirit, and you will heal and get better without destroying yourself.
I want to say that there is no one to blame for our actions and consequences. Our parents are not responsible, our friends are not accountable, society is not obligated, YOU are responsible for how you are spending your time and the habits you are creating. Time is the most valuable thing globally; it can buy you whatever you need or want, so use it wisely. Create some healthy habits.
