The goal of this season is to identify your values and goals. Simply put, a value is about what a person wants to be doing with his or her life. Values are chosen consequences that can never be fulfilled. Rather, they serve as motivation for certain behavioral directions.
Values are the answer to the question: “In a world where you could choose to have your life be about something, what would you choose?”
Values must: Be chosen freely, Be chosen from among alternatives, Result from thoughtful consideration, Be something that an individual lives by, Be comfortable for the individual to share with others.
Set goals that are SMART: Short- and long-term goals, Meaningful, Approach, Realistic, Time-framed.
